Stowe Mountain Resort s Building Maintenance Department is responsible for the appearance and functionality of all resort buildings.
The Entry Level Building Maintenance Technician will perform routine, preventative and emergency maintenance on a variety of building systems primarily interior and exterior surfaces (walls, floors, roofs, etc.
).
This technician will also assist with mechanical and electrical trades as needed.

Essential Functions include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repair on general building elements.
    This includes interior and exterior painting, minor carpentry and other building elements.
  • Perform daily inspections of common areas - check boilers, HVAC, fire panels, etc.
  • Perform snow and ice removal tasks
  • Assist in the repair of plumbing and mechanical systems, kitchen equipment, lighting, etc.
  • Attend to guest and departmental/employee requests
  • Complete assigned tasks in a safe and timely manner
  • Track time and materials and turn in appropriate paperwork, follow standard procedures
  • Communicate with facility managers, employees, and department regarding work status verbally and in writing
  • Promote and exhibit safety in the work place.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and deliver exceptional guest service.
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager, Maintenance Coordinator, or Lead Technicians


Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Must work well with others in a team environment and individually
  • Computer skills Ability to use a computer based work order system, timesheets, email and web based applications.
  • Valid US Driver's License ability to drive various company vehicles
  • Must be able to work unsupervised as well as part of team
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, work at heights, work in utility spaces, work in remote locations, and use resort transportation (ride lifts, groomer, ATV/UTV)
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule with seasonal weekend, night, and holiday requirements
  • Must be comfortable working outside in extreme weather conditions
  • Job requires standing for long periods of time, frequent walking, reaching, climbing and good balance, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.
  • Knowledge of proper use of power tools, hand tools and other industry equipment
  • Guest service skills:
    Professionalism, attention to detail, and timeliness.
